In Thursday's non-league game, the host Daniel Lions baseball team scored a close 9-8 win over the Easley Green Wave.
The Lions (16-7) will now prepare for their game against Blue Ridge (Greer, SC). The Tigers go into the 4A Region 2 game with a 13-6 record. In their last game, Blue Ridge was tipped by Daniel (Central, SC), 10-7, in a league game.
In their next game, the Green Wave confront the Greenwood Eagles (Greenwood, SC) in a 5A Region 1 contest, on Friday, April 24. Easley will attempt to move on its 13-9 season record. The Eagles come into the contest with a 4-18 record after their 16-0 non-league loss to North Augusta (North Augusta, SC).
