Ohio High School Softball - Edgewood edges Monroe

April 23, 2026: Monroe, OH 45050

The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Edgewood Cougars (Trenton, OH) and the host Monroe Hornets (Monroe, OH), observed Edgewood's softball team get by Monroe by a tally of 2-0.

The Cougars (9-8) will now prepare for their bout against Franklin (Franklin, OH). The Wildcats go into the Southwestern Buckeye - Southwestern bout with a 12-9 record. In their last bout, Franklin tipped Talawanda (Oxford, OH), 6-2, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Hornets clash with the Ross Rams (Hamilton, OH) in a Southwestern Buckeye - Southwestern bout, on Wednesday, April 29. Monroe will attempt to advance on its 5-9 season record. The Rams go into the bout with a 11-6 record after their 12-1 league win over Bellbrook (Bellbrook, OH).
