The Medford Mustangs softball team scored 7 runs and limited the visiting Swampscott Big Blue to 6 in the Mustangs league triumph on Sunday.

With the triumph, Medford moves its record to 7-1 on the year. The Mustangs host Everett (Everett, MA) to clash with the Crimson Tide in a non-league game on Monday, April 25. The Crimson Tide come into the game with a record of 6-2. Everett won 7-3 in their recent non-league game against Boston Latin Academy (Dorchester, MA)

In their next game, the Big Blue clash with the Saugus Sachems (Saugus, MA) in a Northeast game, on Wednesday, April 27. Swampscott will attempt to move on its 4-4 season record. The Sachems come into the game with a 4-4 record after their 9-8 non-league win over Pentucket Regional (West Newbury, MA).
