North Carolina High School Baseball - West Wilkes loses to Watauga

April 24, 2023: Boone, NC 28607

The Watauga Pioneers crushed the visiting West Wilkes Blackhawks baseball team by a tally of 15-5 in Monday's non-league bout.

The Pioneers now hold a 15-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Freedom for a Northwestern 3A/4A bout on Tuesday, April 25. Watauga will face a Patriots team coming off a 12-10 league loss to Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 4-17.

Next, the Blackhawks face the South Iredell Vikings (Statesville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, April 25. West Wilkes will attempt to advance on its 14-7 season record. The Vikings enter the bout with a 8-13 record after their 2-0 league win over A.L. Brown (Kannapolis, NC).
