Next, the Pioneers confront the Giles Spartans (Pearisburg, VA) in a Mountain Empire challenge, on Thursday, April 27. Fort Chiswell will attempt to better on its 6-4 season record. The Spartans enter the challenge with a 6-2 record after their 5-0 league win over Grayson County (Independence, VA).

The Indians now have a 1-8 record. They take the field next when they host Honaker for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 25. Rural Retreat will confront a Tigers team coming off a 13-0 league win over Grundy (Grundy, VA). The Tigers record now stands at 10-1.
