The Bassett Bengals softball team scored 7 runs and limited the visiting Dan River Wildcats to 5 in the Bengals non-league triumph on Monday.
With the triumph, Bassett moves its record to 9-3 on the year. The Bengals travel to Martinsville (Martinsville, VA) to clash with the Bulldogs in a Piedmont game on Tuesday, April 25. The Bulldogs come into the game with a record of 0-0.
In their next game, the Wildcats clash with the Chatham Cavaliers (Chatham, VA) in a Dogwood game, on Wednesday, April 26. Dan River will attempt to move on its 4-7 season record. The Cavaliers come into the game with a 6-4 record after their 5-4 non-league win over Magna Vista (Ridgeway, VA).
