The Clay County Tigers softball team scored 17 runs and limited the host Buckhorn Wildcats to 0 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Clay County improves its record to 9-5 on the year. The Tigers travel to North Laurel (London, KY) to clash with the Jaguars in a District 49 game on Tuesday, April 25. The Jaguars come into the game with a record of 19-1. North Laurel won 14-10 in their recent non-league game against Wolfe County (Campton, KY)

In their next game, the Wildcats clash with the Perry County Central Commodores (Hazard, KY) in a District 54 battle, on Tuesday, April 25. Buckhorn will attempt to better on its 1-14 season record. The Commodores go into the battle with a 16-4 record after their 10-0 league win over Leslie County (Hyden, KY).
