Spectators at Monday's league match between the Burns Bulldogs (Lawndale, NC) and the host East Gaston Warriors (Mt. Holly, NC), witnessed Burns's softball squad prevail over East Gaston by a count of 8-0.

The Bulldogs now sport a 14-6 record. They play next when they travel to Shelby for a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A match on Tuesday, April 25. Burns will face a Golden Lions squad coming off a 5-2 league win over Bessemer City (Bessemer City, NC). The Golden Lions record now stands at 6-10.

With the loss, East Gaston moves to 7-10 on the season. The Warriors host R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC) to face the Hilltoppers in a non-league match on Wednesday, April 26. The Hilltoppers go into the match with a record of 15-3. R-S Central won 7-0 in their recent non-league match against T.C. Roberson (Asheville, NC)
