Crete-Monee Warriors (Crete, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Thornton Wildcats (Harvey, IL), 26-11 in a league challenge.

The Warriors now own a 6-4 record. They take the field next when they host Kankakee for a Southland Athletic challenge on Tuesday, April 25. Crete-Monee will battle a Kays squad coming off a 17-2 league win over Rich Township (Olympia Fields, IL). The Kays record now stands at 10-3.

With the loss, Thornton falls to 0-6 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Rich Township (Olympia Fields, IL) to battle the Raptors in a Southland Athletic challenge on Thursday, April 27. The Raptors enter the challenge with a record of 6-9. Rich Township won 13-11 in their recent league challenge against Thornwood (South Holland, IL)
