Del Norte Knights (Albuquerque, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Highland Hornets (Albuquerque, NM), 17-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Knights now own a 3-18 record. They take the field next when they host Valley for a 4A District 6 challenge on Tuesday, April 25. Del Norte will battle a Vikings squad coming off a 8-3 non-league win over Valencia (Los Lunas, NM). The Vikings record now stands at 9-15.

With the loss, Highland falls to 0-23 on the campaign. The Hornets host Valencia (Los Lunas, NM) to battle the Jaguars in a 4A District 5 challenge on Tuesday, April 25. The Jaguars enter the challenge with a record of 6-15. Valencia lost 8-4 in their recent league challenge against St. Pius X (Albuquerque, NM)
