Grant County Braves (Dry Ridge, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Highlands Bluebirds (Fort Thomas, KY), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Braves now own a 7-8 record. They take the field next when they host Simon Kenton for a District 32 challenge on Wednesday, April 26. Grant County will battle a Pioneers squad coming off a 9-1 non-league loss to Harrison County (Cynthiana, KY). The Pioneers record now stands at 12-9.

With the loss, Highlands falls to 15-5 on the campaign. The Bluebirds travel to Newport Central Catholic (Newport, KY) to battle the Thoroughbreds in a District 36 challenge on Tuesday, April 25. The Thoroughbreds enter the challenge with a record of 8-4.
