The Matoaca Warriors (Chesterfield, VA) softball triumphed over the visiting James River Midlothian Rapids (Midlothian, VA), 11-1 in Monday's non-league challenge.
The Warriors now own a 9-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Meadowbrook for a Central challenge on Tuesday, April 25. Matoaca will face a Monarchs squad coming off a 21-17 non-league loss to Thomas Jefferson (Richmond, VA). The Monarchs record now stands at 1-9.
With the loss, James River Midlothian falls to 2-9 on the campaign. The Rapids travel to Clover Hill (Midlothian, VA) to face the Cavaliers in a Dominion challenge on Tuesday, April 25. The Cavaliers enter the challenge with a record of 8-2. Clover Hill won 14-0 in their recent league challenge against Huguenot (Richmond, VA)
