Lexington Catholic Knights (Lexington, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Lexington Christian Eagles (Lexington, KY), 7-2 in a league challenge.

The Knights now own a 12-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Tates Creek for a District 43 challenge on Thursday, April 27. Lexington Catholic will face a Commodores squad coming off a 9-0 non-league loss to Bryan Station (Lexington, KY). The Commodores record now stands at 11-10.

With the loss, Lexington Christian falls to 6-6 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Madison Southern (Berea, KY) to face the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 26. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 10-15. Madison Southern lost 8-5 in their recent league challenge against Madison Central (Richmond, KY)
