California High School Softball - Mary Star of the Sea bounces St. Anthony

Mary Star of the Sea Stars (San Pedro, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host St. Anthony Saints (Long Beach, CA), 9-3 in a league challenge.

The Stars now own a 12-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bishop Montgomery for a Del Rey challenge on Tuesday, April 25. Mary Star of the Sea will battle a Knights squad coming off a 6-5 league loss to Bishop Amat (La Puente, CA). The Knights record now stands at 1-16.

With the loss, St. Anthony falls to 7-14 on the campaign. The Saints travel to Bishop Amat (La Puente, CA) to battle the Lancers in a Del Rey challenge on Tuesday, April 25. The Lancers enter the challenge with a record of 12-12. Bishop Amat won 3-1 in their recent league challenge against Mary Star of the Sea (San Pedro, CA)
