Matanzas Pirates (Palm Coast, FL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting St. Augustine Yellow Jackets (St. Augustine, FL), 14-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Pirates now sport a 10-11 record. They take the field next when they host Menendez for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 25. Matanzas will face a Falcons squad coming off a 12-3 non-league win over Beachside (St. Johns, FL). The Falcons record now stands at 10-8.

With the loss, St. Augustine falls to 2-16 on the campaign. The Yellow jackets host Fleming Island (Orange Park, FL) to face the Golden Eagles in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 25. The Golden Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 7-13. Fleming Island won 6-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Buchholz (Gainesville, FL)
