Pennsylvania High School Softball - Old Forge holds off Riverside

April 24, 2023: Old Forge, PA 18518

Spectators at Monday's league match between the Old Forge Blue Devils (Old Forge, PA) and the visiting Riverside Vikings (Taylor, PA), witnessed Old Forge's softball squad tip Riverside by a count of 7-5.

The Blue Devils now sport a 8-4 record. They play next when they travel to Mid Valley for a Lackawanna 3 match on Wednesday, April 26. Old Forge will meet a Spartans squad coming off a 15-0 league win over Honesdale (Honesdale, PA). The Spartans record now stands at 11-1.

With the loss, Riverside moves to 4-3 on the season. The Vikings travel to Western Wayne (Lake Ariel, PA) to meet the Wildcats in a Lackawanna 3 match on Wednesday, April 26. The Wildcats go into the match with a record of 1-7. Western Wayne lost 10-0 in their recent league match against Lakeland (Jermyn, PA)
