The crowd at Wednesday's league test between the Mt. Vernon Rams (Mt. Vernon, IL) and the visiting Salem Wildcats (Salem, IL), saw Mt. Vernon's soccer squad get by Salem by a margin of 5-4.

The Rams now sport a 5-8 record. They play next when they travel to Carterville for a non-league test on Monday, April 29. Mt. Vernon will meet a Lions squad coming off a 7-0 league win over Pinckneyville (Pinckneyville, IL). The Lions record now stands at 9-3.

With the loss, Salem drops to 2-14 on the season. The Wildcats host Columbia (Columbia, IL) to meet the Eagles in a Cahokia - Mississippi test on Tuesday, April 30. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 12-3.
