The Smithfield Packers baseball team scored 7 runs and limited the host Lafayette Rams to 3 in the Packers non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Packers (7-2) will now prepare for their match against Poquoson (Poquoson, VA). The Islanders go into the non-league match with a 4-6 record.
The Rams (4-6) will now prepare for their match against Jamestown (Williamsburg, VA). The Eagles go into the non-league match with a 10-1 record. In their last match, Jamestown edged Poquoson (Poquoson, VA), 7-4, in a non-league match.
