The Clay Panthers (Portsmouth, OH) softball routed the visiting East Tartans (Sciotoville, OH), 12-2 in Wednesday's league bout.
The Panthers (10-4) will now prepare for their bout against Manchester (Manchester, OH). The Greyhounds go into the non-league bout with a 9-3 record. In their last bout, Manchester toppled Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington (Ripley, OH), 8-4, in a league bout.
The Tartans now possess a 4-5 record. They play next when they host Green for a Southern Ohio I bout on Thursday, April 25. East will confront a Bobcats squad coming off a 23-0 league loss to Notre Dame (Portsmouth, OH). The Bobcats record now stands at 1-9.
