In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Clinton Gaels (Clinton, MA) softball team held off the visiting Lunenburg Blue Knights (Lunenburg, MA), by a margin of 18-17.
With the triumph, Clinton moves its record to 5-1 on the year. The Gaels host Tyngsborough (Tyngsborough, MA) to play the Tigers in a Midland-Wachusett D contest on Friday, April 26. The Tigers come into the contest with a record of 4-1.
In their next game, the Blue Knights play the Oakmont Regional Spartans (Ashburnham, MA) in a Midland-Wachusett C contest, on Friday, April 26. Lunenburg will attempt to move on its 2-3 season record. The Spartans come into the contest with a 2-2 record after their 8-4 non-league loss to Littleton (Littleton, MA).
