St. Paul Knights (Worcester, MA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Doherty Memorial Highlanders (Worcester, MA), 6-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Knights now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Tantasqua Regional for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 26. St. Paul will face a Warriors squad coming off a 14-0 non-league win over Bartlett (Webster, MA). The Warriors record now stands at 4-1.

With the loss, Doherty Memorial falls to 4-4 on the campaign. The Highlanders travel to Grafton (Grafton, MA) to face the Gators in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 26. The Gators enter the challenge with a record of 1-6. Grafton lost 20-9 in their recent league challenge against Northbridge (Whitinsville, MA)
