The Edina Hornets routed the visiting Hopkins Royals softball squad by a count of 5-0 in Wednesday's league battle.
The Hornets (4-4) will now prepare for their battle against Spring Lake Park (Spring Lake Park, MN). The Panthers go into the non-league battle with a 6-2 record. In their last battle, Spring Lake Park nudged Rogers (Rogers, MN), 5-4, in a league battle.
The Royals now sport a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to Wayzata for a Lake battle on Thursday, April 25. Hopkins will meet a Trojans squad coming off a 6-4 league win over Minnetonka (Minnetonka, MN). The Trojans record now stands at 5-2.
