Huron Chiefs (New Boston, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Grosse Ile Red Devils (Grosse Ile, MI), 8-1 in a league challenge.

The Chiefs now own a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they host Howell for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 27. Huron will battle a Highlanders squad coming off a 7-3 league loss to Northville (Northville, MI). The Highlanders record now stands at 6-5.

With the loss, Grosse Ile falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Red devils travel to Belleville (Belleville, MI) to battle the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 25. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 4-3. Belleville won 15-8 in their recent league challenge against Dearborn (Dearborn, MI)
