River Valley Vikings (Caledonia, OH) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Highland Fighting Scots (Marengo, OH), 5-1 in a league challenge.

The Vikings now sport a 13-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lexington for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 29.

With the loss, Highland falls to 4-8 on the campaign. The Fighting scots travel to Northmor (Galion, OH) to face the Golden Knights in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 25. The Golden Knights enter the challenge with a record of 8-9. Northmor won 12-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Elgin (Marion, OH)
