Spectators at Wednesday's league match between the Los Altos Eagles (Los Altos, CA) and the host Homestead Mustangs (Cupertino, CA), witnessed Los Altos's softball squad tip Homestead by a count of 8-3.

The Eagles now sport a 8-10 record. They play next when they host Fremont for a De Anza match on Friday, April 26. Los Altos will face a Firebirds squad coming off a 11-2 league loss to Wilcox (Santa Clara, CA). The Firebirds record now stands at 4-11.

With the loss, Homestead moves to 7-6 on the season. The Mustangs host Los Gatos (Los Gatos, CA) to face the Wildcats in a De Anza match on Friday, April 26. The Wildcats go into the match with a record of 14-5. Los Gatos won 4-2 in their recent league match against Mountain View (Mountain View, CA)
