Medford Mustangs (Medford, MA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Lynn English Bulldogs (Lynn, MA), 5-4 in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now sport a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lynn Classical for a Greater Boston challenge on Monday, April 29.

With the loss, Lynn English falls to 4-4 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Saugus (Saugus, MA) to face the Sachems in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 26. The Sachems enter the challenge with a record of 3-4. Saugus lost 15-3 in their recent league challenge against Salem (Salem, MA)
