Wheeling Park Patriots (Wheeling, WV) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Oak Glen Golden Bears (New Cumberland, WV), 3-0 in a league challenge.

The Patriots now sport a 12-16 record. They take the field next when they travel to Morgantown for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 30.

With the loss, Oak Glen falls to 15-10 on the campaign. The Golden bears host Harrison Central (Cadiz, OH) to face the Huskies in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 25. The Huskies enter the challenge with a record of 11-9. Harrison Central won 14-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Bellaire (Bellaire, OH)
