Connecticut High School Baseball - Avon prevails Middletown

April 24, 2025: Avon, CT 06001

The Avon Falcons baseball team scored 17 runs and held the visiting Middletown Blue Dragons to 8 in the Falcons non-league win on Thursday.

The Falcons now own a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Northwest Catholic for a non-league test on Friday, April 25. Avon will play a Lions team coming off a 7-1 non-league win over Middletown (Middletown, CT). The Lions record now stands at 4-5.

With the defeat, Middletown drops to 2-10 on the year. The Blue dragons host Platt (Meriden, CT) to play the Panthers in a Central Connecticut - South test on Friday, April 25. The Panthers go into the test with a record of 7-2. Platt lost 3-1 in their recent non-league test against Hall (West Hartford, CT)
