New York High School Baseball - Pioneer defeats Cheektowaga

April 24, 2025: Yorkshire, NY 14173

The Pioneer Panthers baseball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting Cheektowaga Chargers to 1 in the Panthers league win on Thursday.

The Panthers now own a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host Bishop Timon-St. Jude for a non-league test on Monday, April 28. Pioneer will clash with a Tigers team coming off a 6-2 league loss to St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute (Buffalo, NY). The Tigers record now stands at 5-3.

With the defeat, Cheektowaga drops to 1-9 on the year. The Chargers travel to Maryvale (Cheektowaga, NY) to clash with the Flyers in a ECIC III test on Wednesday, April 30. The Flyers go into the test with a record of 7-2. Maryvale lost 3-2 in their recent non-league test against Medina (Medina, NY)
