In Thursday's league bout, the Mayfield Trojans (Las Cruces, NM) baseball squad overwhelmed the visiting Gadsden Panthers (Anthony, NM), by a tally of 11-0.
Next up, the Trojans encounter the Organ Mountain Knights (Las Cruces, NM) in a 5A District 3 bout, on Monday, April 28. Mayfield will attempt to upgrade on its 13-9 season record. The Knights enter the bout with a 15-7 record after their 8-3 league loss to Centennial (Las Cruces, NM).
The Panthers (5-17) will now prepare for their bout against Alamogordo (Alamogordo, NM). The Tigers enter the 5A District 3 bout with a 8-15 record. In their last bout, Alamogordo overcame Las Cruces (Las Cruces, NM), 4-0, in a league bout.
