In Thursday's non-league game, the host John Marshall Monarchs baseball team scored a close 13-12 win over the St. Clairsville Red Devils.
The Monarchs (7-10) will now prepare for their game against East Fairmont (Fairmont, WV). The Bees go into the non-league game with a 6-9 record. In their last game, East Fairmont was tipped by Preston (Kingwood, WV), 7-4, in a league game.
Next, the Red Devils play the Brooke Bruins (Wellsburg, WV) in a non-league game, on Monday, April 28. St. Clairsville will attempt to improve on its 11-2 season record. The Bruins go into the game with a 13-9 record after their 10-1 non-league loss to Steubenville (Steubenville, OH).
