North Carolina High School Baseball - Mitchell nipped by Madison

April 24, 2025: Marshall, NC 28753

The Madison Patriots nipped the visiting Mitchell Mountaineers baseball squad by a score of 7-6 in Thursday's league outing.

Next up, the Patriots battle the Owen Warhorses (Black Mountain, NC) in a Western Highlands 1A/2A outing, on Tuesday, April 29. Madison will attempt to advance on its 9-12 season record. The Warhorses come into the outing with a 4-15 record after their 13-0 league win over Rosman (Rosman, NC).

The Mountaineers (10-10) will now prepare for their outing against Avery County (Newland, NC). The Vikings come into the Western Highlands 1A/2A outing with a 3-12 record. In their last outing, Avery County was nudged by Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC), 18-0, in a league outing.
