Indiana High School Volleyball - Merrillville edged by Michigan City

The Merrillville Pirates volleyball squad (Merrillville, IN), was edged 3-2 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Michigan City Wolves (Michigan City, IN)

With the win, Michigan City improves its record to 8-11 on the season. The Wolves host La Porte (La Porte, IN) to encounter the Slicers in a IBVCA battle on Monday, April 28. The Slicers go into the battle with a record of 1-13. La Porte won 3-1 in their recent league battle against Portage (Portage, IN)

The Pirates now own a 6-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Westville for a non-league battle on Saturday, April 26. Merrillville will encounter a Blackhawks squad coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Warsaw (Warsaw, IN). The Blackhawks record now stands at 5-14.
