The Grassfield Grizzlies baseball team scored 7 runs and held the visiting Nansemond River Warriors to 5 in the Grizzlies non-league win on Thursday.
The Grizzlies now own a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Landstown for a non-league test on Saturday, April 26. Grassfield will play a Eagles team coming off a 4-0 non-league loss to Ocean Lakes (Virginia Beach, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 0-2.
With the defeat, Nansemond River drops to 1-3 on the year. The Warriors travel to Oscar Smith (Chesapeake, VA) to play the Tigers in a non-league test on Tuesday, April 29. The Tigers go into the test with a record of 0-8. Oscar Smith lost 15-6 in their recent non-league test against Deep Creek (Chesapeake, VA)
