In Thursday's league challenge, the host Gainesville Cardinals lacrosse squad scored a tight 9-8 triumph over the Freedom Eagles.

The Cardinals (7-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Northern Virginia HomeSchool (Manassas, VA). The Centurions go into the non-league challenge with a 0-6 record. In their last challenge, Northern Virginia HomeSchool was nipped by Annandale (Annandale, VA), 10-7, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Eagles clash with the South County Stallions (Lorton, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, April 26. Freedom will attempt to better on its 7-3 season record. The Stallions go into the challenge with a 4-4 record after their 11-7 non-league win over South Lakes (Reston, VA).
