The Cashton Eagles edged the host Bangor Cardinals softball squad by a count of 3-2 in Thursday's league challenge.
Next, the Eagles meet the Melrose-Mindoro Mustangs (Melrose, WI) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, April 26. Cashton will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a 8-1 record after their 14-4 league win over Alma Center Lincoln (Alma Center, WI).
The Cardinals (3-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Hillsboro (Hillsboro, WI). The Tigers enter the Scenic Bluffs challenge with a 8-5 record. In their last challenge, Hillsboro was nudged by Wisconsin Heights (Mazomanie, WI), 7-5, in a non-league challenge.
