Ohio High School Softball - Martins Ferry bounces Barnesville

The Martins Ferry Purple Riders (Martins Ferry, OH) softball routed the visiting Barnesville Shamrocks (Barnesville, OH), 14-4 in Thursday's non-league outing.

The Purple Riders now sport a 17-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cambridge for a Ohio Valley Athletic AAAAA outing on Friday, April 25. Martins Ferry will encounter a Bobcats team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Union Local (Belmont, OH). The Bobcats record now stands at 4-13.

With the loss, Barnesville moves to 14-3 on the season. The Shamrocks travel to Beaver Local (Lisbon, OH) to encounter the Beavers in a non-league outing on Saturday, April 26. The Beavers come into the outing with a record of 15-2. Beaver Local won 11-1 in their recent non-league outing against Struthers (Struthers, OH)
