Illinois High School Softball - Columbia bounces East Alton-Wood River

In Thursday's league match, the host Columbia Eagles softball team scored a nice 10-0 win over the East Alton-Wood River Oilers.
The Eagles (14-2) will now prepare for their match against Breese Central (Breese, IL). The Cougars come into the Cahokia - Mississippi match with a 5-15 record. In their last match, Breese Central notched a victory over Roxana (Roxana, IL), 8-7, in a league match.
In their next game, the Oilers confront the Marquette Catholic Explorers (Alton, IL) in a non-league match, on Monday, April 28. East Alton-Wood River will attempt to better on its 8-7 season record. The Explorers come into the match with a 4-10 record after their 9-2 non-league win over Collinsville (Collinsville, IL).
