In Thursday's non-league match, the host East Liverpool Potters softball team scored a tight 5-1 win over the Wellsville Tigers.
With the triumph, East Liverpool improves its record to 3-21 on the year. The Potters host Chaney (Youngstown, OH) to face the Cowboys in a non-league contest on Monday, April 28. The Cowboys enter the contest with a record of 8-7.
The Tigers now hold a 6-9 record. They play next when they travel to Madonna for a non-league contest on Saturday, April 26. Wellsville will face a Blue Dons squad coming off a 15-6 non-league win over St. Clairsville (St. Clairsville, OH). The Blue Dons record now stands at 16-2.
