The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Metamora Redbirds (Metamora, IL) and the visiting East Peoria Raiders (East Peoria, IL), observed Metamora's softball team get by East Peoria by a tally of 8-2.

The Redbirds (17-4) will now prepare for their bout against Limestone (Bartonville, IL). The Rockets go into the Mid-Illini bout with a 6-8 record. In their last bout, Limestone was routed by Brimfield (Brimfield, IL), 11-0, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Raiders clash with the Normal University Pioneers (Normal, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, April 26. East Peoria will attempt to advance on its 10-9 season record. The Pioneers go into the bout with a 8-10 record after their 4-2 non-league win over Bloomington Central Catholic (Bloomington, IL).
