In Thursday's league match, the host Harvard Hornets softball team scored a tight 8-1 win over the Johnsburg Skyhawks.
The Hornets (8-7) will now prepare for their match against Marengo (Marengo, IL). The Indians come into the Kishwaukee River match with a 15-6 record. In their last match, Marengo nipped Sandwich (Sandwich, IL), 16-6, in a league match.
In their next game, the Skyhawks confront the Richmond-Burton Rockets (Richmond, IL) in a Kishwaukee River match, on Tuesday, April 29. Johnsburg will attempt to better on its 4-9 season record. The Rockets come into the match with a 15-6 record after their 7-6 non-league win over Antioch (Antioch, IL).
