The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Jefferson-Morgan Rockets (Jefferson, PA) and the host Mapletown Maples (Greensboro, PA), observed Jefferson-Morgan's softball team notch a victory over Mapletown by a final score of 17-0.

The Rockets (7-4) will now prepare for their bout against West Greene (Waynesburg, PA). The Pioneers go into the WPIAL 1A 2 bout with a 11-1 record. In their last bout, West Greene gained a win over Mapletown (Greensboro, PA), 11-2, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Maples battle the Turkeyfoot Valley Area Rams (Confluence, PA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, April 26. Mapletown will attempt to better on its 3-10 season record. The Rams go into the bout with a 2-5 record after their 12-3 non-league win over Clay-Battelle (Blacksville, WV).
