Laguna Acoma Hawks (New Laguna, NM) supporters left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Navajo Pine Warriors (Navajo, NM), 17-6 in a league game.
With the triumph, Laguna Acoma improves its record to 13-7 on the year. The Hawks host Northwest (Shiprock, NM) to play the Falcons in a A/2A District 1 game on Thursday, May 1. The Falcons enter the game with a record of 0-17.
The Warriors now hold a 3-13 record. They play next when they host Rehoboth Christian for a A/2A District 1 game on Tuesday, April 29. Navajo Pine will play a Lynx squad coming off a 14-2 league win over Hozho Academy (Gallup, NM). The Lynx record now stands at 13-7.
