The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Marengo Indians (Marengo, IL) and the host Sandwich Indians (Sandwich, IL), observed Marengo's softball team prevail over Sandwich by a tally of 16-6.

The Indians (15-6) will now prepare for their bout against Harvard (Harvard, IL). The Hornets go into the Kishwaukee River bout with a 8-7 record. In their last bout, Harvard knocked off Johnsburg (Johnsburg, IL), 8-1, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Indians clash with the St. Bede Bruins (Peru, IL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, April 25. Sandwich will attempt to advance on its 6-8 season record. The Bruins go into the bout with a 11-5 record after their 10-9 league win over Marquette (Ottawa, IL).
