The Northern Cass Jaguars edged the visiting Mayville-Portland-Clifford-Galesburg Patriots softball squad by a count of 14-13 in Thursday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Jaguars play the Hankinson/Campbell-Tintah/Fairmount Rebels (Fairmount, ND) in a Class B - Region 1 challenge, on Tuesday, April 29. Northern Cass will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Rebels enter the challenge with a 0-3 record after their 22-0 league loss to Central Cass (Casselton, ND).
The Patriots (1-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Des Lacs-Burlington (Des Lacs, ND). The Lakers enter the non-league challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Des Lacs-Burlington was nudged by Thompson (Thompson, ND), 11-4, in a non-league challenge.
