Ohio High School Softball - Newark Catholic held off by Utica

April 24, 2025: Utica, OH 43080

In Thursday's league test, the Utica Redskins (Utica, OH) softball squad got by the visiting Newark Catholic Green Wave (Newark, OH), by a tally of 16-15.

Next, the Redskins meet the Northridge Vikings (Johnstown, OH) in a Licking County test, on Friday, April 25. Utica will attempt to advance on its 6-8 season record. The Vikings go into the test with a 4-11 record after their 13-0 league loss to Watkins Memorial (Pataskala, OH).

The Green Wave (4-7) will now prepare for their test against Lakewood (Hebron, OH). The Lancers go into the Licking County battle with a 14-1 record. In their last battle, Lakewood nipped Licking Heights (Pataskala, OH), 11-6, in a league battle.
