Wayne Badgers (Bicknell, UT) supporters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad topple the visiting Piute Thunderbirds (Junction, UT), 19-2 in a league game.

With the triumph, Wayne improves its record to 6-11 on the year. The Badgers travel to Panguitch (Panguitch, UT) to play the Bobcats in a non-league game on Monday, April 28. The Bobcats enter the game with a record of 13-6. Panguitch won 23-5 in their recent non-league game against Beaver Dam (Littlefield, AZ)

In their next game, the Thunderbirds clash with the North Sevier Wolves (Salina, UT) in a 2A Central bout, on Friday, April 25. Piute will attempt to advance on its 7-9 season record. The Wolves go into the bout with a 9-12 record after their 11-1 league loss to Gunnison Valley (Gunnison, UT).
