California High School Baseball - Ventura defeats Oxnard

April 24, 2026: Ventura, CA 93001

In Friday's league game, the host Ventura Cougars baseball team scored a close 16-10 victory over the Oxnard Yellowjackets.

The Cougars (12-6) will now prepare for their game against Rio Mesa (Oxnard, CA). The Spartans enter the game with a 11-6 record. In their last game, Rio Mesa held off Dos Pueblos (Goleta, CA), 5-2, in a league game.

Next, the Yellowjackets face the Moorpark Musketeers (Moorpark, CA) in a non-league game, on Saturday, April 25. Oxnard will attempt to improve on its 2-14 season record. The Musketeers enter the game with a 10-4 record after their 6-2 non-league loss to El Camino Real (Woodland Hills, CA).
