The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Sparta Spartans (Sparta, MI) and the host Whitehall Vikings (Whitehall, MI), observed Sparta's softball team get by Whitehall by a tally of 11-6.

The Spartans (8-3) will now prepare for their bout against Greenville (Greenville, MI). The Yellow Jackets go into the non-league bout with a 7-6 record. In their last bout, Greenville tipped Holton (Holton, MI), 13-3, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Vikings battle the Ludington Orioles (Ludington, MI) in a Western Michigan bout, on Tuesday, April 28. Whitehall will attempt to advance on its 5-9 season record. The Orioles go into the bout with a 5-8 record after their 19-5 non-league loss to Grosse Pointe South (Grosse Pointe, MI).
