Brookland-Cayce Bearcats (Cayce, SC) supporters were pleased Monday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Batesburg-Leesville Panthers (Batesburg, SC), 10-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Bearcats confront the Gilbert Indians (Gilbert, SC) in a AAA Region 5 challenge, on Tuesday, April 26. Brookland-Cayce will attempt to move on its 17-4 season record. The Indians enter the challenge with a 13-4 record after their 3-2 non-league win over Heathwood Hall Episcopal (Columbia, SC).
The Panthers now possess a 4-6 record. They take the field next when they host Fox Creek for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 28. Batesburg-Leesville will confront a Predators team coming off a 7-0 league win over Orangeburg-Wilkinson (Orangeburg, SC). The Predators record now stands at 9-5.
